Ledgent Finance and Accounting has a prominent Manufacturing partner located in St Paul needing to permanently add to their Accounting team!
Prepare and maintain financial statements, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliations.
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
Analyze financial data, variances, and trends to support business decision-making.
Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Assist with external audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
Track, analyze, and reconcile freight expenses, ensuring accurate cost allocation.
Collaborate with logistics and supply chain teams to monitor freight invoices and resolve discrepancies.
Work with carriers and vendors to ensure proper billing and payment reconciliation.
Assist in developing freight cost forecasts and budgeting to support financial planning.
Implement process improvements to optimize freight expense tracking and reporting.
Bachelor's or Associates degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
3-5+ years of accounting experience.
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
